Bart de Jong is a research-focused Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour at ACU’s Peter Faber Business School. His research focuses on trust, teams and the combination of both.
His work has been published in scholarly journals such as Academy of Management Journal (AMJ), Journal of Applied Psychology (JAP) and Organisation Science. Several of his conference papers have appeared in the Academy of Management (AOM) Best Paper Proceedings.
Associate Professor de Jong currently serves on the editorial review boards of AMJ and JAP, he has received three Outstanding Reviewer Awards from AMJ in recognition of his service, and he is one of the incoming Associate Editors for AMJ’s new editorial team (commencing in 2020). He recently reviewed for the Dutch Research Council and the Australian Research Council (ARC). In 2014, he received a €250,000 early career grant from the Dutch Research Council to pursue his interest in trust asymmetry in teams.
Associate Professor de Jong’s teaching focuses predominately on research design and methods at the bachelors, masters and PhD levels. He also recently taught a PhD course on ‘Advanced Topics in OB’ at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, and a PhD workshop on ‘Practical Meta-Analysis’ at Deakin University as part of his role as Associate Member of the Deakin Lab for the Meta-Analysis of Research.
Associate Professor de Jong is an active member of the OB Division of the AOM Annual Meeting and continues to be involved in multiple committees, professional development workshops and symposia.
Dr Hormoz Ahmadi is a Senior Lecturer in innovation and entrepreneurship at ACU’s Peter Faber Business School. His teaching interests include new venture/entrepreneurial firm development, business-to-business marketing, sales management, international marketing, marketing management and market research. His research focuses on entrepreneurial marketing, product and brand innovation and customer-firm relationships.
Over the past six years, Dr Ahmadi has been involved in identifying trends and conducting research in the areas of product and brand innovation management and growth in new technology ventures.
Dr Ahmadi was also an entrepreneur, sales engineer and marketing manager in the telecommunications and electronics industries for 10 years before joining academia. His research has been published in well-reputed and high-rank marketing and entrepreneurship journals. He is currently collaborating with and managing several industry-relevant research projects.
