Teacher education book aligns with UN SDG Quality Education

Teacher education research agendas communicated in the book Innovation and Accountability in Teacher Education (by ACU ILSTE academics Claire Wyatt—Smith and Lenore Adie) includes discussing topics about cultures in teacher education, the actors in teacher preparation, the voices of teacher educators, the role of employers and issues of evidence and quality in teacher education.

Such topics about teacher education quality are on many policy agendas including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Data tracking the impact of this book shows that it is a top-used publication concerning SDG 4 for Quality Education.

The book by Wyatt-Smith and Adie is a result of ACU education research addressing teaching professionalism and quality as one of the world’s greatest challenges and as a Sustainable Development Goal.
