Assessment can have significant impact on student learning. This research examines quality educational assessment to capture and direct student learning to meet 21st century learning goals encompassing curriculum knowledge and skills, interpersonal skills and values. It explores use of educational assessment and other evaluative data to identify effective educational practice and student outcomes. It investigates effective processes of reporting outcomes of schooling for students, families and the community. Our research draws on evidence from published research studies and longitudinal databases within Australia and internationally. We work with policy-makers and the profession to achieve social change and impact.
