About management

Good managers helps an organisation harness the power of its staff for ultimate success. When you study management at ACU, you’ll develop the tools to manage individuals and empower them to succeed as a team. You’ll be able to provide strategic guidance, to support and motivate teams, and to make sure everything runs to plan.

Work experience while you study

Get a head start on your career with practical placements that open doors to industry and put you in the path of employers. Thanks to our strong connections with industry, and our focus on developing graduates who are independent thinkers with practical skills, our graduates enjoy a consistently higher employment rate that the national average.

See the whole picture

Step into the business world with confidence and compassion. We believe you can succeed in business, acknowledge the dignity of the human person and work for the common good. Our second-year students complete a professional placement at a not-for-profit organisation and, in all of our courses, you’ll explore the ethical, social, political and economic contexts that guide decision-making.

Your experience is our focus

Don’t just be a number. Our small class sizes give you a personalised learning experience where lecturers and teaching staff know your name and you have access to a support network that cares about your success.

Keep your options open

Our bachelor degrees in commerce and business administration put you in control. You’ll be able to focus on the areas that interest you. And, if you’re not sure where you’d like to end up, that’s OK too. You will still graduate with a well-rounded business education – but you’ll have the flexibility to study a unit or two from another faculty or try a couple of different electives to see what sparks your passion.
