Foodbank is a non-religious, non-for-profit organisation that acts as a pantry to the charities and community groups who feed the hungry. They provide approximately 200,000kgs of food to such organisations each week and rely heavily on volunteers to achieve this.
Foodbank offer a very hands-on experience where volunteers will undertake physical lifting, packing and/or sorting tasks within their warehouse to organise food items so that they are ready to be distributed.
Distribution Centre, 50 Owen Street, Glendenning
Week days, 8am – 2pm (morning tea break included)
Groups of up to 20 people. The number of available places will be determined by Foodbank’s availability on the selected day.
