Air Aware Hackathon 2025

“The future depends on what we do with the data today.”

ACU Hackathon 2025 – a resounding success

The 2025 ACU Hackathon was nothing short of inspiring. Over two action-packed days, more than 100 students came together to tackle one big question: How can we use AI to make our air cleaner and healthier?

The results? Absolutely outstanding.

Innovation on display

From interactive dashboards to predictive AI models and creative community education tools, every team brought fresh ideas to the table. The judges were blown away by the quality of presentations, noting the impressive mix of technical skill, creativity and commitment to making a real-world impact.

And the winners are...

After a tough round of judging, five teams took home awards in:

The challenge:

Build an AI-powered solution that:

  • utilises real air quality datasets
  • analyses pollution trends and patterns
  • visualises data in an intuitive and informative manner
  • educates others on actions for cleaner air.

Air pollution is real – your skills can make a difference.

This isn’t just a hackathon – it’s a launchpad for change. You’ll collaborate with like-minded thinkers, gain new skills, and turn data into real-world impact.

Support and tools to succeed
