Australian Catholic University (ACU) is offering one full-time PhD scholarship package for candidates in Brisbane, Ballarat, and Melbourne.
The successful applicant will work on an Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project to investigate the teaching of literacy with GenAI and XR tech (virtual, mixed, and augmented reality). The project will be centred in the discipline of literacy education, with technology knowledge supportive. This is not a computer science PhD. Unrelated research project designs/plans on other topics will not be considered.
The PhD candidate will be integral to the project, working collaboratively with the research team led by Professor Kathy Mills (ACU, Institute for Learning Sciences and Teacher Education), with Professor Len Unsworth, and Professor Laura Scholes, and others.
Leading and co-authoring papers from the project will be encouraged and supported.
