Unit rationale, description and aim

This unit is designed to give students an overview of the external impacts on businesses and how these external environments influence business decisions, with a particular emphasis on analysing business opportunities. Key concepts of economics, the regulatory environment, technological environment and customer or market environments will be examined. An understanding of these fundamentals will form the context of the analysis of business opportunities.
