The unit provides students with the opportunity to explore and critically analyse social work practice in the area of mental health. The unit provides students with foundational knowledge of mental health practice, in the context of consumer rights, multidisciplinary teams, and social work practice models. Clinical practice with adults, children and young people and diversity groups experiencing a mental disorder will be considered. The unit will explore contemporary approaches to mental health care.
