Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Business Administration gives you an overview of key business functions while also providing the foundation for a generalist management qualification in the Master of Business Administration. 

During this course, you will be introduced to important management disciplines such as finance, communications, marketing and business organisation. And you will get the opportunity to apply your new knowledge to your organisation via assessments. All our units are embedded with the United Nations sustainable goals.

If you wish to advance your qualification further, the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration articulates into our Master of Business Administration. It also provides a pathway to further postgraduate study if you have not completed a bachelor’s degree.

To complete the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, a student must complete 40 credit points (cp).

Entry requirements

An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites:

  1. Equivalent of an Australian Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; or
  2. At least two years’ industry experience in a relevant role.

International students need to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

All costs are calculated using current rates and are based on a full-time study load of 40 credit points (normally 4 units) per semester.

A student’s annual fee may vary in accordance with:

  • the number of units studied per semester; 
  • the choice of major or specialisation; and 
  • elective units.

Dr Sugumar Mariappanadar

Senior Lecturer, Peter Faber Business School

Dr Sugumar Mariappanadar is a senior lecturer in management and human resource management at the Peter Faber School of Business in Melbourne. His teaching and publications cover sustainable human resource management, human resource measurement, organisational behaviour, and culturally indigenous management practices.

Dr Bulend Terzioglu

Lecturer (Accounting), Peter Faber Business School

Dr Bülend Terzioglu is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and a lecturer in the School of Business at Australian Catholic University. He holds a PhD and a Master of Business (Accounting) from RMIT University, a Graduate Diploma in International Business from Monash University and a BBus from METU. Before getting into academia, he held senior positions in industry over 16 years.
