The IRCI is delighted to report that our PhD student Tom Pietsch was awarded the graduate student paper prize from the North American Patristics Society, which is the premier scholarly organisation in North America for the study of Christianity in late antiquity and hosts the largest annual meeting in the field, involving hundreds scholars from around the world. Tom will present his paper titled 'St Cyril of Alexandria and the mysteries of Isis in De adoratione’ at the society’s annual meeting this week in Chicago. Tom’s paper recently underwent peer-review and will soon be published in the Journal of Ecclesiastical History, a top-ranked journal published by Cambridge University Press. Congratulations Tom!'
