Dr Christiaan Jacobs-Vandegeer, National Head of School (Theology)
Dr Christiaan Jacobs-Vandegeer is the National Head of School (Theology) in the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy and a researcher in the Institute for Religion and Critical Inquiry (IRCI) at the Melbourne Campus. Before joining ACU in 2011, he earned his doctorate in theology from the University of St Michael’s College in Toronto. He is a chief investigator in the major research program Atheism and Christianity: Moving Past Polemic.

Associate Professor Michael Buchanan, Deputy Head of School (Theology)
Associate Professor Michael T Buchanan is the National Deputy Head of School (Theology) in the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy and immediate past Editor of Religious Education Journal of Australia. He has extensive educational experience in secondary schools and his areas of curriculum expertise include: Religious Education, Legal Studies, History, Middle School Commerce and Teaching English to Speakers of Languages (TESOL). He has also held senior leadership positions in Administration, Religious and Faith Leadership.
