ACU Galleries

The Faculty of Education and Arts is home to three galleries in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Each gallery features a program of free public exhibitions and events by students and industry professionals throughout the calendar year.

"If you are trying to run a Catholic university it's not simply a question of intellect, it's not simply a question of deployment, it's not simply a question of staff [and] it's not even a question of accountancy. It's also a question of culture; and art provides the visible and soulful culture for a university."
Professor Greg Craven, Vice-Chancellor, ACU

The galleries are important sites of cultural outreach for the University, providing high quality exhibitions and promoting dialogue around religion, social justice and equity through the medium of the visual arts.

The galleries also play a pivotal support role for the teaching and learning of Visual Arts and Design, allowing students to showcase their work to professional standards and to gain knowledge and experience through exposure to professional artists, curating and collection work.
