Understanding funding options
Tom is co-founder and CEO of StartSomeGood, a social enterprise which helps people design, launch and grow social impact projects and the host of the ACU Social Enterprise Series.
StartSomeGood runs the Good Hustle social enterprise design course; StartSomeGood.com crowdfunding platform; and impact accelerators and entrepreneur education programs for partners including Optus, ING, the United Nations Development Program and the City of Sydney.
Tom was previously the founder of youth non-profit Vibewire, he was the first Digital Communications Director for Ashoka in Washington DC, and the founding Director of the Australian Changemakers Festival. He is a director of the Centre for Social Impact.
Lara co-founded Social Good Outpost to bring good design to purposeful organisations. Through listening and guiding clients to clarity and bringing business-oriented creativity to solving problems, she designs communications with authenticity, and supports businesses with tools for smoother work. Lara specialises in helping social enterprises get frameworks around their mission and impact. She creates designs that support social change and leads clients through their journey in a calm and empowering way.
