Join us for our roundtable event, Entrepreneurial mindset, innovation, and branding.

This discussion will feature keynote experts including Kevin Bloch, CTO of Cisco Australia and New Zealand and Professor Per Davidsson, Talbot Family Foundation Chair in Entrepreneurship. They’ll explore the themes of the entrepreneurial mindset, creativity and innovation, reputation and branding.

There will also be an interactive program designed to facilitate knowledge sharing and stimulate forward thinking ideas, including a session on emerging opportunities and sessions with business owners who will share their practical experiences.

Kevin Bloch, Chief Technology Officer, Cisco Australia and New Zealand

Kevin is privileged to lead the strategy and technology direction in Australia and New Zealand for a world–class business. With a team, Kevin shapes Cisco's strategy to enable its customers to create value based on the technology platforms they build and the transformations they undertake.

Prashant Ponkshe, founding team member and marketing lead, Frollo

Frollo is an innovative start-up success story. They provide people with the right tools and advice to achieve their financial goals. Frollo is a personal finance app that can identify spending patterns that not only show people their past behaviours but could also predict future ones.

Robert Salisbury, Chief Communications Officer, Premium Food Australia

From a technical background in telecommunications with British Telecom, Robert moved into sales and business development in advertising before going on to work in a range of industries across the globe.  Since migrating to Australia in 2004, he has founded luxury boat company Parker Boatshare, property agency Phillip Banks, book publisher Lime Books and digital currency start-up Coinport. He is a licensed real estate agent, an auctioneer, published author and passionate about exporting Australian produce.

Associate Professor Jochen Schweitzer, Director Entrepreneurship, UTS Business School

Jochen is Associate Professor of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Strategy and Director of Entrepreneurship at the UTS Business School. His research, teaching and consulting focuses on issues of strategy, collaboration, entrepreneurship and innovation with a special interest in design thinking, emerging technologies and open innovation.

Professor Andreas Rauch, Sydney University Business School

Andreas is Professor of Entrepreneurship at Sydney University Business School. He also holds a research position at the Johannes Kepler University Linz and at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg, where he was Professor of Entrepreneurship and Regional Enterprises. His research interest focusses on evidence-based entrepreneurship and psychological predictors of entrepreneurial behaviour.

Murray Hurps, Director of Entrepreneurship, University of Technology Sydney

Murray has developed software used by over 100 million users, implemented the largest survey of Australia's start-up ecosystem, grown Australia's largest network of start-up hubs, designed and implemented Australia's first data-focused accelerator program for Australia's oldest company, Westpac.

Andrea Christie-David, Founder and MD Leor

Andrea is the Founder and Managing Director of Leor In Home Early Learning, a service that delivers high quality early childhood education in the family home. Andrea is also a Director of Relationships Australia (NSW), a large not for profit organisation delivering counselling, family support, family dispute resolution, and children’s support services across New South Wales.

Alex Dance, Founder Hero Digital Marketing

Alex’s purpose is to help businesses effectively compete and scale up using the best digital marketing options available. He does this by getting them new cost-effective leads, and helping them convert those leads.

Professor Per Davidsson, the Talbot Family Foundation Chair in Entrepreneurship at the Australian Centre for Entrepreneurship Research (ACE) in the QUT Business School (Management)

Per is known for his extensive research on start-up and growth of firms and the societal wellbeing and job creation effects of those activities. With over 27,000 citations (Google Scholar, October 2018) he is one of the best cited scholars in entrepreneurship globally. He has led several major research programs including the Comprehensive Australian Study of Entrepreneurial Emergence (CAUSEE), the largest study of business start-ups ever undertaken.

Jono co-founded the first coworking space on Sydney's north shore (Startnest) and is currently Chair of startup Squirrel Street.
He has been an active investor in the venture capital / angel ecosystem for more than 10 years and is now Chair of the North Sydney Innovation Network.
