ACU students enrolled in a Bachelor Degree program can work with new International English Language (ELICOS) students to assist them in adjusting to ACU Sydney. ACU students help ELICOS students to feel more integrated and help them to build a social network with local students already in their future degree programs.
ACU students also assist our ELICOS teachers in classroom activities or in Special Interest Group workshops, and attend student social events and excursions, orientation days and graduations.
Objectives of the Program:
We are looking for volunteers that are keen to work with international students, and who are patient, friendly and welcoming. Students should be interested in learning about other cultures and have a good understanding about ACU Sydney (culture, activities, events, and systems), so as to be able to share this knowledge with new arrivals both to ACU Sydney.
