To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent:

Completion requirements
To qualify for the degrees, a student must complete 320 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 110 cp from Business Specified Units (Part A)
- 140 cp from Information Technology Specified Units (Part B)
- 10 cp Community Engagement Unit (Part C)
- 20 cp from Information Technology Electives (Part D)
- 20 cp from Business electives OR other Elective units listed in the Schedule of Unit Offerings for any other ACU Bachelor degree courses.(Part E)
- 20 cp from Core Curriculum Units (Part F)
Progression requirements
In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator and bound by decisions of the School Committee. A unit can only be classified as an advanced unit if it has more than one prerequisite in hierarchy. Australian Computer Society (ACS) accreditation requires at least four advanced units.
