To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent:

Completion requirements

To qualify for the Pass degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings:

  • 40 cp from Foundation Units (Part A) 
  • 10 cp from Community Engagement Unit (Part B)
  • 20 cp from Core Curriculum Units (Part C)
  • 40 cp Elective Units from the Schedule of Unit Offerings for any ACU Bachelor degree courses.


AND 130 cp from

  • IT related units (Part D) includes:

-- 110 cp from IT Specified Units (Part D1)

-- 20 cp from IT electives units (Part D2)

OR

  • IT Major related units (Part E) includes:

-- 50 cp from IT Related Major units (Part E1)

-- 80 cp from major (Part E2)

Progression requirements

Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator. A unit can only be classified as an advanced unit if it has more than one prerequisite in hierarchy. Australian Computer Society (ACS) accreditation requires at least four advanced units.
