The Nursing Research Institute in partnership with St Vincent's Health Network Sydney, St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and the Australian Catholic University (ACU), undertakes nurse-led, multidisciplinary research to improve patient outcomes and patient safety. Our research has a strong focus on implementation science and clinician practice change.
The NRI brings together researchers and clinicians to conduct clinically relevant research. The NRI specialises in implementation science research examining ways to promote evidence translation in the areas of stroke management, hospital-acquired complications, and de-implementation of low-value nursing care.
Our team conduct multidisciplinary clinical and health services research focused on improving patient outcomes and health systems.
Our researchers have skills in systematic reviews (qualitative and quantitative), randomised controlled trials, process evaluations, and qualitative research. We collaborate with world-class national and international researchers, multidisciplinary clinicians and policy makers.
