Admission requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy that includes meeting a minimum ATAR requirement.
International applicants must meet the English Language Requirements as defined in the Admissions to Coursework Programs Policy.
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12, or equivalent:

Definition
A Major is 80 cp in prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, normally including at least 10 cp at 100-level, at least 30 cp at 200-level and at least 30 cp from 300-level.
A Minor is 40 cp in prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, normally including at least 10 cp at 100-level and at least 20 cp at 200- or 300-level.
Completion requirements
To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 80cp from 1 Arts Major (Part A)
- 80cp from 1 Arts Major OR 2 Arts Minors OR 1 Arts Minor and Rome Program units OR 1 Arts Minor and Elective units (Part B)
- 10cp from Foundation Inquiry unit (Part C)
- 40cp from Elective units (Part D)
- 30cp from Core Curriculum and Community Engagement units (Part E)
Other requirements
A student may undertake units listed in the Schedule of Unit Offerings from any Bachelor of Arts discipline (subject to campus availability, unit limitations and provided that prerequisite requirements are met).
Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Adviser. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Adviser.
Exit points
Students who have met the requirements of the following awards can exit with the following awards:
- Undergraduate Certificate in Liberal Arts
- Diploma in Liberal Arts
Progression requirements
Unless otherwise specified, students must complete a unit or units at an introductory level (100-level) in an approved sequence before undertaking advanced level units (200 or 300-level) in that sequence. Any additional prerequisites for individual units are shown in brackets after the unit in the Schedule of Unit Offerings.
A student may, with the approval of the Course Adviser, undertake cross-institutional study in order to satisfy the requirements, in whole or in part, of a Major or a Minor in a language other than English.
