The Criminology minor provides students with a foundational understanding of crime, justice, and the social and institutional responses to criminal behaviour. Drawing on interdisciplinary perspectives from sociology, law, and psychology, the minor explores the causes and consequences of crime, the workings of the criminal justice system, and contemporary debates on punishment, rehabilitation, and social control.
Students will critically examine how crime is defined and addressed in society, with particular attention to issues of power, inequality, and human rights. This sequence complements a wide range of majors in the Bachelor of Arts and prepares students for careers in policy, justice, corrections, advocacy, or further postgraduate study in criminology or law.

a. 20 cp from 100-level units (Part A)
