The Institute for Learning Sciences and Teacher Education (ILSTE) has released a Policy Brief on the teaching of writing. It draws on responses to the Australian Writing Survey© (AWS) provided by teachers in Queensland schools.
It presents new data on how well prepared are teachers to teach writing and other aspects of literacy education including reading and language conventions. Find the Policy Brief here from the researchers, Professor Claire Wyatt-Smith and Christine Jackson.
