Engage with the Bible within the context of its ongoing significance for the Christian community and the role it plays in the Christian tradition. You will explore the background, history, culture, literary character and religious message of biblical texts, as well as their application in contemporary contexts. Develop a critical reading of the biblical text as sacred scripture, and broaden and deepen your engagement with the Bible in a spirit of open and critical inquiry by drawing on a wide range of tools of interpretation.
Framed by the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, your learning will go hand-in-hand with the development of soft skills that are highly transferable and valued by employers, such as strong analytical and evaluation skills, empathy for multiple viewpoints, and the ability to articulate compelling arguments – both orally and in writing.
We're available 9am–5pm AEST,
