Overview

Engage with the Bible in the context of its ongoing significance for the Christian community and the role it plays in the Christian tradition. Explore the background, history, culture, literary character and religious message of biblical texts, and apply it to contemporary contexts. Drawing on a wide range of tools and interpretations, you’ll develop a critical reading of the biblical text as sacred scripture, and broaden and deepen your engagement with the Bible in a spirit of open and critical enquiry.
