The fee to attend a graduation ceremony is $165 (incl GST). This fee includes:
The ceremony fee is paid via credit card when you select to attend your ceremony and complete online registration. Visit Register to graduate to find the registration closing dates. To attend graduation students must register within the published registration period.
Guest tickets will be emailed to you upon completion of registration. All tickets must be printed in advance, and given to your guests so that they can gain entry to your ceremony. You (the graduand) do not require a ticket. Graduation is a ticketed event and any guests without a ticket will not be permitted entry. Each ticket has a unique barcode that will be scanned upon entry.
You should receive your tickets via email within 30 minutes of submitting payment. If your ticket email hasn’t arrived, please check your junk email folder in case your email has been delivered there instead of your inbox.
Children above the age of two are required to have a guest ticket and be seated in their own chair.
Each graduating student is allocated three guest tickets, which can be ordered through the graduation portal when completing registration. The cost for these tickets is included in the graduation ceremony fee.
The availability of additional guest tickets is not guaranteed and strictly limited according to graduate numbers and venue capacity. Where possible, the Graduations Office will make additional guest tickets available for purchase at a cost of $30 per ticket (including GST). For ceremonies where additional guest tickets are available, you will have the option of purchasing them during the registration period through the graduations portal. Additional guest tickets are strictly non-refundable.
The maximum number of tickets available will be displayed to you in the graduations portal. If no additional tickets are displayed, this means that there are no additional guest tickets available for your ceremony. Guests who cannot attend the ceremony can watch the live video stream.
As part of the graduation registration process in Student Connect, students who select to attend their ceremony will be directed to the graduation portal to complete their registration, which includes payment of the ceremony fee and ordering academic dress and guest tickets. All payments must be submitted via credit card.
You can cancel your attendance at a graduation ceremony if you wish, and you will receive a full refund of your ceremony fee as long as you provide at least two weeks notice to the Graduations Office. Failure to provide the required notice will mean that you forfeit the full cost of your ceremony fee and any additional tickets purchased.
Refunds within two weeks of your ceremony will only be granted in extenuating circumstances. These are circumstances that are unforeseen and beyond your control that prevent you from attending your ceremony - for example illness, misfortune or bereavement. You will be asked to provide supporting documents to verify your circumstances.
If you need to cancel your attendance at a ceremony, please email email@example.com.
