As a Senior Research Officer in the Neuroscience of Addiction and Mental Health Program, I manage research program operations which bridges my academic background in neuroscience and research management experience.

I completed my PhD in behavioural neuroscience at The University of Melbourne (2010) before moving to Canada for a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of British Columbia (2011-2016). As a behavioural neuroscientist, I spent more than 12 years researching brain mechanisms related to psychiatric and neurological conditions in preclinical models. I have authored 26 journal articles and one book chapter in the field (h-index: 16).

Following my work in Canada, I transitioned from a career 'at the bench' to a professional role supporting research, grants and commercialisation activities at the Bionics Institute (2017-2024). I'm passionate about improving the lives of people affected by addiction and mental illness, and have lived experience as both a carer and consumer in this area.
