Stipend scholarships for research degrees are highly competitive. If your application was unsuccessful, there are still several pathways to pursue your research degree at ACU.
Review the scholarships available through the university as well as those offered by external organisations, such as government agencies, industry partners, or philanthropic bodies. Carefully check the eligibility criteria, as some scholarships may target specific research areas, academic achievements, or professional experience.
If you wish to proceed with your graduate research degree without a scholarship, please confirm this by contacting:
You are welcome to reapply in a future scholarship round. To be competitive, you will need to provide additional evidence of academic merit and research preparedness beyond your previous submission. This should include new achievements and supporting documentation.
Examples of evidence may include:
Before reapplying, we recommend:

Consider a pathway program to help you progress towards your research goals. These pathway programs provide the required research training to enable students who have not completed honours degrees or master's by research to qualify to apply for a higher degree by research program.
If a research degree is not immediately feasible, consider enrolling in a coursework-based postgraduate degree that aligns with your academic and career aspirations. These courses can provide specialised knowledge, professional development, and networking opportunities and may open doors to future research and scholarship opportunities.
