Definition
Bachelor of Arts Major: 80 cp in prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, normally including at least 10 cp at introductory level, at least 40 cp at 200 level and at least 20 cp from 300 level.
Bachelor of Arts Minor: 40 cp in prescribed units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area, normally including at least 10 cp at introductory level and at least 20 cp at advanced level.
Completion requirements
To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 320 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
a. 160 cp from Bachelor of Psychological Science Units:
- 140 cp from Specified Psychology Units (Part A);
- 10 cp from Psychology Elective Units (Part B);
- 10 cp from Psychology Community Engagement Unit (Part C).
AND
b. 160 cp from Bachelor of Arts Units:
- 80 cp from Arts Major Units (excluding Psychology) (Part D);
- 40 cp from Arts Minor Units (excluding Psychology) (Part E);
- 20cp from Arts Elective Units (Part F);
- 20 cp from Core Curriculum Units (Part G).
Other requirements
Education Minor is available only to students who transfer from an Initial Teaching Education undergraduate program and who have completed designated units as approved by theCourse Adviser.
Progression requirements
Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Adviser. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Adviser.
Students normally complete 100 level units before undertaking related 200 level units, and 200 level units before undertaking related 300 level units.
