Completion requirements

To qualify for the pass degree, a student must complete 320 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:

  1. 50 cp Specified Foundation Units (Part A);
  2. 20 cp from University Core Curriculum Units (Part B);
  3. 150 cp from Social Work Units, including 10 cp unit (SWTP335) incorporating community engagement (Part C);
  4. 40 cp from Social Work Skills Units (Part D);
  5. 60 cp from Practice Education units (Part E);

Exit points

A student who has successfully completed 220 to 230cp from the Bachelor of Social Work units excluding the Core Curriculum units and 10 to 20cp from the Core Curriculum units may exit with the following qualification:

  • Bachelor of Human Services


Progression requirements

Students need to normally complete a unit or units at an introductory level (100-level) in an approved sequence before undertaking advanced level units (200 or 300-level).

Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator and bound by decisions of the School Committee.
