To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent.

Completion requirements

To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 240 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:

a. 100 cp from Midwifery Theory units (Part A)

b. 70 cp from Midwifery Professional Practice units (Part B)

c. 50 cp from Interdisciplinary units (Part C)

d. 20 cp from University Core Curriculum units (Part D)

Progression requirements

Students normally complete a unit or units at an introductory level (100-level) in an approved sequence before undertaking advanced level units (200 or 300-level) in that sequence.
