ACU Rome brings together researchers from across disciplines, institutions and regions to develop collaborative solutions to issues affecting communities worldwide.

Drawing on ACU’s internationally recognised research strengths and Rome’s unique position within Europe and the Catholic world, we foster partnerships that generate new knowledge and deliver practical impact.

Research themes

Our work is guided by three interdisciplinary themes that bring together researchers and partners from across sectors and regions:

  • human dignity, ethics and contemporary humanism – exploring the moral, philosophical and social questions shaping contemporary society
  • formation, youth, health and resilience – advancing wellbeing, resilience, and human capability across communities
  • technology, data and social transformation – ensuring technological innovation serves people, communities and the common good.
