Australian Catholic University students have given their university experience a strong vote of confidence, with overall satisfaction among undergraduate students remaining above 80 per cent for the second year running.
Key points
ACU ranked third in Australia for undergraduate international student overall experience in 2025. The university also posted its best-ever postgraduate coursework satisfaction rate, moving above the national average.
The results come from the 2025 Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) Student Experience Survey (SES), which asks students to rate the quality of their overall educational experience at university.
The annual survey is conducted by the Social Research Centre on behalf of the Australian Government Department of Education. The 2025 survey heard from more than 324,000 students from 153 higher education institutions, including 43 universities.
The strong showing follows ACU’s top ranking in the national QILT Employer Satisfaction Survey earlier this year. In a milestone achievement, more than 92 per cent of employers reported positive overall satisfaction with ACU graduates - the best result for any university in the country.
ACU Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Tania Broadley said the 2025 SES results reflected the distinctive experience that ACU offered students across the university’s seven campuses in Australia and in Rome.
“At ACU, while the quality of our education is important, it’s also about bringing a focus on the whole person.
“It’s about creating a community where students feel connected and supported and where their education is grounded in purpose and service.
“These results are a testament to the commitment of our staff who go above and beyond each and every day to create an educational experience that help our students to thrive.”
