Get ahead by giving back with our Early Achievers’ Program
ACU is a university for a new generation who see beyond a world of selfishness and antagonism and choose to succeed via authentic engagement and positive impact.
That is why we reward students who make positive changes in their schools and communities and are committed to academic achievement.
Our Early Achievers’ Program (EAP) gives people the chance to gain early entry into an undergraduate degree at one of our seven campuses around the country.
We want to help as many people as possible have an impact and that is why we have extended the application deadline for EAP until 31 July 2017.
It is not too late to apply if you regularly volunteer in your community – through your school, workplace, community organisation, or cultural or religious group. If successful, you’ll receive an offer as early as August.
Anne-Marie Reddan’s community service activities helped her secure an early place at ACU.
“I chose to study at ACU because of their Early Achievers’ Program, which allowed me to get early acceptance into the course of my choice whilst still in Year 12,” she said.
'Not only did that take away some of the stress of Year 12 exams, but it showed me that ACU valued more than just academic performance.
“EAP shows they also value one’s contribution to society; their religious values, their community service involvement and their other talents and passions. These values really resonated with me personally and I felt ACU was a good fit for me.”
ACU Office of Student Success Director Evelyn Picot said ACU is a community of students, staff and partners who are dedicated to making a real and positive difference in society as a whole.
“EAP is a way to nurture students whose values align with our own, those people who aim to transcend the limits of their own point of view and engage instead with empathy,” she said.
Applications for ACU’s Early Achievers’ Program are open until Monday 31 July.
