The Vice-Chancellor and President is ACU’s Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for preserving and fostering the essential character of the University as a Catholic Institution.
He provides strategic leadership and oversees the University’s operational management, whilst ensuring that all activities are consistent with the ACU Mission.

Professor Zlatko Skrbis was appointed as ACU’s Vice-Chancellor and President in 2020.
Vice-Chancellor and President
Professor Zlatko Skrbis is the fourth Vice-Chancellor and President of ACU, a position he has held since January 2021. He joined ACU in 2018 and has also served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education and Innovation) and Interim Provost. He previously held senior leadership positions at Monash University and The University of Queensland.
Each of our key leaders helps chart ACU’s strategic direction, and brings their corporate and academic expertise to the management of specific portfolios.
The Vice-Chancellor’s Advisory Committee
Chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor’s Advisory Committee is responsible for university-wide strategic planning. The group meets regularly to discuss matters related to ACU’s direction and performance.
