Greg Craven Lecture

Julian Leeser MP delivered the Greg Craven Lecture in Melbourne on 11 October 2023. Mr Leeser's lecture, "The Choices before Australia" discussed several pressing issues, including the need for a strong and confident Catholic voice in public debate.

The institute established the Craven Lecture in 2022 to honour the contribution Greg Craven made both to ACU as Vice-Chancellor and President (2008-21), and to public intellectual life as a prominent contributor to public debate.

The Craven Lecture examines the ethical dimensions of politics and their practical implications for public policy. It forms part of a range of initiatives at ACU making its expertise in ethics available to engage the most important issues for the future of Australia and the life of free societies.
