Mary Eberstadt, one of America's foremost Catholic public intellectuals and a Distinguished Fellow of the PM Glynn Institute, visited Australia in 2022 to deliver the Greg Craven Lecture on Ethics and Politics on 26 October, along with three other important talks.
The institute established the Craven Lecture in 2022 to honour the contribution Greg Craven made both to ACU as Vice-Chancellor and President (2008-21), and to public intellectual life as a prominent contributor to public debate.
The Craven Lecture examines the ethical dimensions of politics and their practical implications for public policy. It forms part of a range of initiatives at ACU making its expertise in ethics available to engage the most important issues for the future of Australia and the life of free societies.
