Rev Dr Gerald Gleeson

Fr Gerry Gleeson was previously Vicar General of the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney. He joined ACU in 2024 as the Senior Advisor, Catholic Identity and Mission and was appointed to the position of Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Catholic Mission in 2025.

Fr Gleeson has a renowned academic background, having previously served as Associate Professor of Philosophy and Christian Ethics at the Catholic Institute of Sydney. He is a board member of Catholic Care Sydney and Chair of the Board of Sydney Catholic Schools.

He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Leuven and a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge.
