Cathy Murrowood is a liturgy professional who provides expertise, training and resources to groups and organisations across Australia. A trained teacher and musician, she studied liturgy at University of Notre Dame (USA) and worked as a diocesan liturgy coordinator and an online publisher. She is currently a member of the National Liturgical Council, Societas Liturgica and the Australian Academy of Liturgy, and was previously a Consultant to the National Liturgical Music Board.

Cathy has had extensive involvement in local and national areas of Church life, delivering practical professional training and providing advice to liturgical ministers, parishioners, clergy, teachers, and students. She has managed large-scale diocesan events and is a frequent presenter at national liturgical conferences. She has experience in working with communities with limited resources, especially those without a resident priest. 

Cathy has a considerable background in online liturgical publishing and resource writing in Australia and the USA. She has been instrumental in developing the ACU Centre for Liturgy’s online training program for liturgical ministers and works as an online program instructor.
