Dr. Tolulope Adekola is a Lecturer in Law at the Thomas More Law School, Australian Catholic University. Before joining ACU, he held research positions at the T.C. Beirne School of Law, The University of Queensland, the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition (Germany), and the City University of Hong Kong.
He is admitted to practise as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia, and serves as a Consultant to the United Nations Office of the Special Adviser on Africa.
His research focuses on International Law, Intellectual Property Law, Law and Technology, Health Innovation Policy, and Legal Philosophy. He is the author of Regional Cooperation, Intellectual Property Law, and Access to Medicines: A Holistic Approach for Least Developed Countries (Routledge, 2024) and co-editor of Socio-Technological Relationships in Vaccine Systems: Uncovering the Dynamics of Interaction (Palgrave Macmillan, 2026).
His scholarship has been published in leading national and international journals, including Legal Studies, World Trade Review, Australian Journal of Human Rights, Journal of Intellectual Property Law & Practice, and Journal of World Intellectual Property.
Dr. Adekola's research has received international recognition and has been honoured with several awards, including the University of Queensland's BEL Award of Excellence in Research (2024). He was also shortlisted for the 2024 Australian Legal Research Award (Early Career Researcher).
