Philip Duncan

Philip is Discipline Leader in the Graduate Diploma in Migration Law and Practice. He is an experienced migration professional and educator. He has been a migration agent since 2004, and currently consults to Newland Chase, one of the largest global specialist migration firms. He was previously Director of Immigration Services at the Brisbane office of KPMG. He specialises in corporate migration, consulting to large corporates on their migration programs. He also specialises in labour agreements, compliance and complex reviews.

Philip previously lectured in the Graduate Certificate in Migration Law, and the Masters of Law Program at the Australian National University. He is a regular presenter of CPD to migration agents and lawyers, and the author of a range of articles on the profession. He has practiced as a Barrister, specialising in Administrative Law and Migration Law. His international career included work in Canada, USA and Chile, where he was Australian Trade Commissioner.

He was voted 2017 Immigration Nerd by the Law Council of Australia, and is still unsure whether or not his colleagues were complimenting him.
