One Meal – It Makes a Difference is a not-for-profit community organisation that helps to feed, clothe and support the homeless and underprivileged. One Meal provides nutritious meals weekly to those in need in several locations across Sydney, including Darlinghurst, Green Square, Northern Beaches, Riverwood, Blacktown (only).

Our meal service patrons are provided with a main meal as well as a breakfast pack to take away and are further assisted (where possible) with swags, sanitary packs, toiletries, clothing items, blankets, and so on. We also seek to collaborate with other service providers in our areas of operation to enable cross-referral wherever there may be benefit to our patrons.

Volunteers are the cornerstone of One Meal. Join One Meal in making a difference by serving meals to those in need across Sydney each week.

Students will be supervised by the Team Leader at the meal service and will receive information on food safety and food handling.

The role

Students will serve meals to those who are underprivileged and/or sleeping rough at a meal service location run by One Meal. Students may also assist with the set-up and clean-up of the meal service.
