The World Café Consumer Engagement is a proposed event operating at least 2 times per year. Once in Semester 1, and again in Semester 2. The purpose of this event is to engage consumers from the local area of Morayfield and Caboolture, to better understand the enablers and barriers to primary healthcare service access.
For example, services access includes primary urgent care, general practice, allied health, mental health services and clinical trials. The consumer group will support onsite tenants who want to engage in consumers on a particular topic (i.e. enablers to join an exercise group, participation in clinical trials, increasing health literacy about cancer or cardiac events, support for domestic and family violence victims-survivors, health system experiences for caregivers).
