Read nowBaby Give Back is Queensland’s leading charity that aims to break the cycle of poverty of disadvantaged and vulnerable families, by providing clean, safe, baby essentials. Our aim is to transform the lives of the 1 in 6 children in Queensland who are living in poverty.
Currently, we are the only charity in Queensland that collects, cleans and safety-checks donated baby essentials from local communities. Packaged with respect and love by dedicated volunteers, our items are re-homed to families in crisis via over 200 social service caseworkers who ensure these items go directly to families most in need.
The families we support face a broad range of challenges such as family breakdown, poverty, domestic violence, unplanned pregnancy, trauma, and homelessness. We also support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (migrants, refugees and asylum seekers); those impacted by life-controlling addictions, mental health issues, disabilities and chronic illness.
Donations are sorted, customised, and packed with careful consideration to meet individual needs, whilst helping families feel a sense of belonging, connection, social inclusion and dignity. We believe that every baby deserves a safe start to life regardless of their situation.
