Take your studies to Rome. You’ll gain valuable experience – in the classroom and beyond – that will become a part of who you are and who you want to become.
Rome away from home
Life at our Rome campus is about so much more than study. You’ll immerse yourself in Roman life, bond with other students from around Australia and the world, explore historic sites, improve your Italian and, of course, study.
You’ll also have opportunity to go beyond the tourist sights and engage with locals in a meaningful way, such as working with the homeless and refugees among the Sant’Egidio community.

No matter what course you’re studying with us, you’ll have the opportunity to study from a couple of weeks, to a semester in Rome. See what’s on offer in each study area:
Semester in Rome
The Rome Semester program will give our undergraduate students the unique experience of studying at ACU’s Rome campus over a 15 week-period, while at the same time immersing themselves in Roman life and culture.
Students will study 4 units (40 credit points) in block-mode as part of a Semester-long program, or alternatively choose to complete 1-3 units as part of an intensive study abroad experience.
Units will be offered by the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy and the Faculty of Education and Arts, and will include an intensive Italian language unit, as well as a selection of units covering topics ranging from religion in Ancient Rome, art and politics, Roman landscapes and more.
ACU students interested in learning more about the Rome programs should visit the Study Overseas page.
