Update on international study activities
Your health and safety is our top priority and, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and current travel restrictions, all ACU international study programs are currently suspended.
Virtual learning opportunities are available during this time for both short-term and semester-long experiences. Current students can find more information on the Student Portal.
ACU is monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely, and we will continue to review the aforementioned guidance. Please refer to our Coronavirus FAQs for regular updates.
Can I go abroad with my degree?
Discuss your wish for an overseas adventure early with your course coordinator. Most students will have the opportunity to study abroad for semester, but there may be some restrictions. These depend on your course and its units, as well as accreditation and placement requirements.
Students in these study areas can do a full semester exchange:
If you’re enrolled in the following study areas, there will be some restrictions on what units you can study overseas depending on accreditation and placement requirements:
- Nursing, Psychology, Nutrition and Biological Science, and Exercise Science
If you plan to study any other degree in the Faculty of Health Sciences, a semester exchange is unfortunately not possible. There aren’t enough units available in these courses for you to study abroad for a full semester.
Full semester not for you? You may also wish to consider one of the many overseas study tours and short program options available.
