Spend a semester overseas and gain credit towards your ACU degree! We have over 80 university exchange partners around the world for you to choose from, so start exploring.
Current ACU students can learn more about the process for going on exchange by visiting the Student Portal.
Can I go abroad with my degree?
Discuss your wish for an overseas adventure early with your course adviser. Most students will have the opportunity to study abroad for semester, but there may be some restrictions. These depend on your course and its units, as well as accreditation and placement requirements.
Students in these study areas can do a full semester exchange:
- Arts
- Business
- Global Studies
- Theology
- Philosophy
If you’re enrolled in the following study areas, there will be some restrictions on what units you can study overseas depending on accreditation and placement requirements:
- Education
- Nursing, Psychology, Nutrition and Biological Science
- Law
If you’re studying another degree within the Faculty of Health Sciences, a semester exchange may not be the best fit, as there may not be enough suitable units available to make up a full semester study load.
However, there are still plenty of opportunities to gain international study experience! You may wish to explore our overseas study tours and short program options, which can be a great alternative to spending a full semester abroad.
