Recognition of Prior Learning

If you have already studied at university at an appropriate level or have significant relevant work experience, you might be eligible to apply for credit / recognition of prior learningcredit / recognition of prior learning towards your ACU course.

Please note that study modes and unit availability are subject to change and not all units are on offer at all times. Units might be offered in different modes (attendance, multi-mode or online). If you are unsure which mode is the most suitable for you, please contact your course coordinator prior to enrolling.

The professional experience component in unit NUTD102 Culinary Nutrition Science will require a kitchen kit and will be delivered off-campus for some students.

Minimum enrolment numbers apply to all units. The University reserves the right to cancel units with low enrolment numbers. Students will be advised of cancellations prior to the start of semester and offered an alternative unit if one is available. You must enrol for the whole academic year if you commence in Semester 1 or if you are re-enrolling. You can change your enrolment up until the census date for each semester or professional term. This Diploma will prepare you for a career in Nutrition, a growing profession making an important contribution to the health and well being and disease prevention for individuals, communities and populations locally and globally.

You will graduate with a formal standalone qualification on successful completion of the specified 8 units plus gain credit for first year entry to the Bachelor of Nutrition Science and potentially other health science bachelor degree's, transitioning straight into second year with credit.

Undertaking the ACU Diploma in Nutrition Science will help you to develop the academic skills and university experience needed to succeed in more advanced tertiary study.
