Continuity of Care Experience
Gain critical experience and support a pregnant woman and her family during your studies. Part of undergraduate midwifery studies at ACU, the Continuity of Care Experience will see you accompanying women through pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period. You’ll forge an ongoing relationship that spans from initial contact in pregnancy, through to the weeks after birth, across both hospital and community settings.Find out more
Fast track with graduate entry
Already a registered nurse or bachelor-qualified paramedic? You could be eligible for entry to our Bachelor of Midwifery (Graduate Entry), a two-year course that can fast track you to becoming a registered midwife.

Your practice will be informed by an ethical, evidence-based and woman-centered approach, with respect for diversity and global perspectives – including Indigenous knowledge.
Our undergraduate midwifery courses are accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC). When you graduate, you’ll also be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
