Why choose an ACU short course?

Meeting a prerequisite through the short course

After completing the short course, students who need to meet an ACU course prerequisite can register for a free ACU entrance test. Achieving the required score in this test can be used to satisfy most biology and/or mathematics prerequisites at ACU*.

These tests are offered several times throughout the year at ACU campuses, with availability varying based on demand.

Please note: Completing the ACU mathematics and/or human biology entrance test does not guarantee admission to an ACU degree. Applicants must meet all entry requirements, including achieving the required test score for their chosen course, to receive an offer.

*The mathematics short course does not meet prerequisite requirements for study in Faculty of Education and Arts mathematics degrees, for example teaching degrees in which you wish to major or minor in mathematics.

How to enrol

No application is required – simply enrol online from September 2026 and you can start anytime.

If you plan to use the entrance test to meet a prerequisite, ensure you complete it before ACU course application deadlines. Please note that some courses have limited places and may not be available in later offer rounds.
