What is the Student Veterans Panel?

As part of the Veterans Transitions Program (VTP), commencing student veterans will participate in a one-day orientation to introduce them to university services and experiences. As part of this orientation there will be a ‘student veteran’s panel’ which is comprised of student veterans who have completed more than one year of study and would like to share their unique experiences with the commencing cohort. The panel will run for 45-minutes with questions relating to individual student experience, coping strategies and advice. There will also be an opportunity for the commencing students to ask questions to the panel.

Briefly describe your experience at Australian Catholic University and identify 3 key events that you think stood out in your university experience.

What attributes do you have to make this a positive learning experience for yourself, others & the commencing students?Consider personal/professional attributes i.e. communication skills/cultural competence/self-management/critical thinking/reflective skills & demeanor/professional behaviors (max 200 words)

Briefly outline how you will be a positive ambassador for the university during this experience (max 3 dot points). Consider the University Mission and Student Code of Conduct. (max 100 words)
