Overview

This project, funded through an ARC Discovery Grant for 2011 to 2013 investigated the impact of NAPLAN on schools and teachers, and ways in which teachers were able to use NAPLAN data to improve student learning. The project found that limited use was made of data by teachers for various reasons, but that a major impact teachers reported was increased stress on students from many different backgrounds. Publications from the project provide advice to schools on working with data to improve student learning as well as summaries of project findings.
