Dr. Qiuzhi Xie obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong. Before joining the Australian Centre for the Advancement of Literacy, she worked as an assistant professor at United Arab Emirates (UAE) University. Her research interests are mainly specialised in bilingualism as well as how cognitive, emotional, and psychosocial factors affect the learning and development of language and literacy. Her research is published in numerous international peer-reviewed journals and presented in international conferences of literacy and psychology.
