Mark has a keen interest in research that involves the education of nursing students and lecturers, particularly in eLearning and technology. Mark’s innovations in this area create value added outcomes for students, such as: Audio-visual marking trial in which the students’ assignments were assessed using a recorded screen capture and uploaded to their feedback files; Creating a synchronous online tutorial that utilised teams and office 365 to create a “live” shared document in which all students in the tutorial contributed; developing a two-phase exam for nursing pathophysiology unit.

Mark completed my PhD in 2023, is currently supervising a master’s student, and is currently involved in research projects with a focus on: Diversity in AI generated AI patient scenarios and deescalation training for paramedic students. Mark has published in Q1 journals and presented at international conferences.

Mark currently peer reviews for Nurse Education Today, Nurse Education in Practice and BMC Medical Education. He is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow for Federation University.
